Gavin Hoey Workshop

Gavin Hoey is well known to the BCC and is running a workshop you might be interested in. I am certain it will be a great day. 24th and 29th October in Sussex, £199 pp

The Dark Potions workshop is a day not to be missed for anyone that loves shooting creative concept portraits. Our venue for the day is Ravenswood manor house in West Sussex. We’ve got access to the grounds and exclusive use of the Baronial hall where we’ll be shooting images with a creepy, Halloween feel. I’ll be joined by fellow professional photographer Tommy Reynolds and two great models. During the workshop you’ll get to work with both photographers and both models, so you can expect to go home with a great collection of varied images.

Post Preparation 5th March

Unfortunately, the speaker planned for our 5th March meeting is unable to attend. The fall-back position is that we will run a “members evening” instead.

The full details are still being prepared, but generally the evening will enable members that have any queries about say “colour profiles”, on-line printing, on-line pre-cut mount boards as well as DIY mount cutting, resizing images, PhotoEntry etc to have clear, simple demonstration of “how to do it”.

If you have a particular query which you would like to have addressed, please send an email ASAP to Bruce Deacon at brucedeacon88@gmail.com and we will do our best to include it in the evening.

EAF Club Championship Tickets

The EAF Club Championships will take place for PDIs on 10 February 2019 and for prints on 10 March 2019, both at 10am at The Fulbourn Centre, 31 Home End, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5BS.   We shall be entering the competition again this year and trying hard to get through into the final round in both categories.  The Championships are one of the best places to see top quality images from other camera clubs throughout the EAF region, as the standard is very high indeed – and of course you get to come along and support your club, so what better excuse for a day out!

Tickets cost £8.50 for each session, (PDI/Print) including morning and afternoon refreshments but you’ll need to bring your own lunch.  The closing date for ticket applications (which need to be submitted through the club) for both sections will be the club meeting on 8th January to allow the club to complete and submit the application form to the EAF.  Please let Sara Reay  (sarareays@gmail.com) know whether you’d like to attend either or both events and let her have your ticket money by 8th January at the latest.
