Gavin Hoey Workshop

Gavin Hoey is well known to the BCC and is running a workshop you might be interested in. I am certain it will be a great day. 24th and 29th October in Sussex, £199 pp

The Dark Potions workshop is a day not to be missed for anyone that loves shooting creative concept portraits. Our venue for the day is Ravenswood manor house in West Sussex. We’ve got access to the grounds and exclusive use of the Baronial hall where we’ll be shooting images with a creepy, Halloween feel. I’ll be joined by fellow professional photographer Tommy Reynolds and two great models. During the workshop you’ll get to work with both photographers and both models, so you can expect to go home with a great collection of varied images.

Post Preparation 5th March

Unfortunately, the speaker planned for our 5th March meeting is unable to attend. The fall-back position is that we will run a “members evening” instead.

The full details are still being prepared, but generally the evening will enable members that have any queries about say “colour profiles”, on-line printing, on-line pre-cut mount boards as well as DIY mount cutting, resizing images, PhotoEntry etc to have clear, simple demonstration of “how to do it”.

If you have a particular query which you would like to have addressed, please send an email ASAP to Bruce Deacon at brucedeacon88@gmail.com and we will do our best to include it in the evening.

Tuesday Bonus

As a bonus to next Tuesday’s Points of View Competition (4th December), there will be a PDI presentation of a 130 mile trek along the Kerry Way in Southern Ireland, undertaken by four members of the Bedford Camera Club. The Kerry Way traverses Ireland’s most spectacular mountain landscapes and passes the countries highest peak at 1039m.

Throughout its length, dramatic peaks and glens, wild moorlands and windswept passes contrast with magnificent coastal panoramas.
