For the Photography News Camera Club of the Year 2017-18 Competition
Theme “Natural Beauty”
Our selectors are choosing our entry for the fourth round “Fantastic Light” and so I have to get you thinking about the next and final round. We only have the title of the theme so far but the subject looks wide open.
This is a reminder that you only have ten days to submit your entries for consideration for this round.
The theme is “Fantastic Light” which is open to interpretation by you.
Camera Club of the Year (CCOTY) Update
The results of the second round of the competition have now been published in Issue 51 of Photography News. BCC scored 86 points and came fifth equal in the table of competing clubs. Great Notley Photographic Club won the round with 90 points and go into the final.
The results of the first round of the competition have now been published in Issue 50 of the Photography News. We (the BCC) scored a creditable 80 points against the winner, Eastbourne Photographic Society, who scored 90 points. Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club scored 89 points.
This is a reminder that your PORTRAIT images need to be with us by midnight on Thursday 30 November for consideration by the selection panel.

We will be submitting an entry for the next round on a theme of Portrait soon, so you can be choosing now which of your images you will put forward to the panel. Further details including dates for submission and a reminder of sizing etc to follow.
Photography News’ Camera Club of the Year Competition 2017-18
This notice is to tell you that your Committee have decided to enter the Competition and to invite entries from members for the first round which will take place shortly. Further details of the competition are given on page 16 of the current issue, No 49, of Photography News (https://www.photographynews.co.uk/latest-issue/photography-news) and will be discussed at the club meeting on 7 November.
