EAF Club Championship Tickets

The EAF Club Championships will take place for PDIs on 10 February 2019 and for prints on 10 March 2019, both at 10am at The Fulbourn Centre, 31 Home End, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5BS.   We shall be entering the competition again this year and trying hard to get through into the final round in both categories.  The Championships are one of the best places to see top quality images from other camera clubs throughout the EAF region, as the standard is very high indeed – and of course you get to come along and support your club, so what better excuse for a day out!

Tickets cost £8.50 for each session, (PDI/Print) including morning and afternoon refreshments but you’ll need to bring your own lunch.  The closing date for ticket applications (which need to be submitted through the club) for both sections will be the club meeting on 8th January to allow the club to complete and submit the application form to the EAF.  Please let Sara Reay  (sarareays@gmail.com) know whether you’d like to attend either or both events and let her have your ticket money by 8th January at the latest.

Xmas Social 2018

As you’ll have seen from the Programme, the Club’s Xmas Social is on 11th December, which is just a little under three weeks’ away….  This year we’re going to have an informal “Fish & Chip Supper” (with optional chicken or vegetarian burger) along with a fun quiz with table teams.  The emphasis is on fun!  In the same tone, coming dressed as Father Christmas, Rudolph or one of Santa’s helpers is entirely optional and, indeed, encouraged!

I need to let the fish & chip shop have final numbers by Wednesday, 5th December so the club meeting on 4th December will be your last chance to put your name down for this and make your menu choice.  The cost is £8 per person; tea, coffee, mince pies and biscuits will be supplied as usual with the £1 charge being waived on this occasion, but if you want something else to drink with your meal, you’ll need to bring that along on the night.  Payment for the meal needs to be made in cash either to me, (Richard Burn) or to the Club’s Treasurer Jim Boud by no later than the 4th December meeting.

Please put your name down for this social evening – the more the merrier!
