Attention all BCC Members…

Members’ Evening – 19th January – Workshops.

So that we can better organise and fulfil your needs easier, please send me an e-mail as soon as possible with any questions you’d like to have answered/ subjects to be covered on the upcoming member workshop evening.

Several of our club members have agreed to be your mentors/ tutors for the evening and I’d like to give them some advance warning of the areas they’ll be covering.

We have the following areas that can be demonstrated/ discussed:
  • Lightroom – basics/ re-sizing
  • Photoshop Elements – basics/ re-sizing
  • Photoshop – masks/ layers/ formatting
  • Formatting of pictures for competition entries – this will be a general question and answer presentation at the beginning of the workshop element of the evening as this affects most of our club members
  • Mounting prints
  • ColorMunki calibration – please bring in your laptop if you’d like it calibrated
If there are any other areas you’d like covered that aren’t listed above just drop me a note and I’ll see what I can do about finding a solution for you.

All the best,

“The Art of Wildlife Photography” – Bob Brind-Surch

Bob Brind-Surch

“I am an experienced photographer and naturalist passionate about my work and sharing my observations of wildlife with others. I have been a keen naturalist from a very young age and a photographer from my late teens. I am foremost a naturalist who photographs what he observes rather than a photographer specialising in wildlife. This is very important to me and goes back to why I started taking photos in the late 60s.

I learnt my photographic craft seeking to capture animals in difficult situations and specifically recording animal behaviour. This was all the more difficult with older manual film cameras but proved a good grounding for practising and refining the skills that still serve me well in the digital age.”
