Bedfordshire Archives ‘Filling the Archives Gap’ Project

Bedfordshire Archives Greensand Country Photo Project

The County Archives are looking for photographers to take part in a project to create a research resource by capturing record quality photographs of the Greensand Country.

Through a series of three workshops you will find out what is needed and help to curate an exhibition at the end of the project.

Between workshops, you will get out and about capturing images.

The workshops will be held at the Greensand Trust’s Working Woodlands Centre, Maulden Wood, Haynes West End, MK45 3UZ from 9.30am to 12.30pm on:

Saturday 29th February – meet Archive staff, discuss what makes a good archive photograph, decide on target images

Saturday 14th March – progress check – discuss images captured so far

Saturday 18th April – select images for the Archives and the exhibition

During May the exhibition of selected images will be in place as part of the Greensand Country Festival

To take part, see Linda Swain for more details or contact the Archives on 01234 228833 or to reserve a place
