Computational Photography

I came across an article on Computational Photography recently and thought some of you might be interested in reading it.  The definition used in the paper is- ‘computational imaging techniques enhance or extend the capabilities of digital photography in which the output is an ordinary photograph, but one that could not have been taken by a traditional camera’

We had a talk some time ago from Manuel Fohler about the development of smart phone cameras and the article explains this in some detail by reference to the latest technology used in phones and compares them with digital cameras.
