Photowalk – Unusual Shots of Bedford
(this is the walk postponed from June 28th)
Tuesday July 5th 6.30pm – 8.30pm approx.
A summer’s evening walk on a designated route.
Starting together. Spread out as you walk, divide into smaller/lone groups as you wish, go off piste if you want. No rules. No prizes. Help each other find interesting and unusual shots or angles.
Start and finish at the “white bridge” on the Embankment 6.30pm to 8.30pm. This is the small bridge at the end of the Embankment furthest from the town centre, at the corner of the Embankment and Longholme Way. Easy parking on the Embankment or the streets nearby.

I have suggested two routes, the red route is the longer one, the blue route is the shorter one depending whether you want a long or a short walk. This has been slightly updated this time to add an extra suggestion for the red route
The objective: to get some unusual images, familiar things from unusual angles or the unexpected.
Look for pictures of Bedford that you wouldn’t expect to find in a tourist brochure. We all know Bedford has a beautiful Embankment, several interesting bridges, rowers on the river etc. But how about a picture of a broken reflection of the bridge in the rower’s wake as the oar skims the surface, or a nut and bolt that holds the bridge together, or an overflowing rubbish bin? Anything providing it forms a good picture and was found in Bedford.
Afterwards compare images at the The Devonshire Arms, 32 Dudley St. MK40 3TB on the other side of Russell Park
This is optional, but why not, over the weekend, tidy up your best shots and submit them into the
Quarry Theatre Exhibition “Unusual Images of Bedford” section
(we say “Bedford” but nearby villages are acceptable too)
This is a good opportunity to become part of this prestigious exhibition.
NB Quarry pictures can be taken at any time, not just this Tuesday.
Final submission date is July 31st.
If you let me know (email email@example.com) you intend to come I will be able to email you should there be any late changes to the plan, e.g. bad weather cancellation
