Club meetings

The number of covid infections in Bedfordshire is rising at an alarming rate and the government has moved to Plan B in recognition of the threat that we face. In the light of this we will not be meeting at the school for our last two club evenings before Christmas.

Tuesday 14th December will be a talk by Steve Williams about street photography and you’ll be able to participate on Zoom. There will be no meeting at the school hall. We’ll send you the Zoom link in a couple of days.

Tuesday 21st December will see the judging of our entries to the summer Points of View week-end at Shefford. Again, you’ll be able to participate on Zoom and there will be no meeting at the school hall.

Nothing matches the fun of meeting our chums in person at a normal club evening but I hope you understand why we have had to take this decision. A number of us have contracted covid over the last few months and we know how serious this can be.

We must thank Mike Clifton for planning a season that is flexible enough to cope with situations like this and we must thank Ian McKenzie for masterminding the technical elements that enable us to participate in these events from home.

Stay safe,

Vaughan Dean
