Summer Events Update 25 May 2021
This is an update to my Newsletter of 15 May.
A revised list is here
There are four new items that have been proposed by members and we need to establish whether there is enough interest to take the next step in organising an event.
1 A visit to Tottenhoe Knolls and Chalk Pits. The site consists of flower-rich chalk grasslands, which also provides a great habitat for butterflies and other bugs. A day time visit may be the best to photograph the plants and bugs. The site is close to Dunstable.Houghton Regis so not too far away. There is also a nice pub in the village. Diane Earl is in the lead for this
2 A visit to Kimbolton with Clive Williams. Kimbolton is renowned for its Castle/school and St Andrews church and cemetery. The high street provides photo opportunities
3 A visit to Priory Park with Clive Williams, and
4 A walk in Woburn with Linda Swain. The walk is through woods adjacent to the Safari Park. Meet up at 6:30 for a couple of hours. Tentative date of 15 June, subject to member interest.
We need to know if you are interested in these suggestions and when would be your preferred time for a visit. Evenings are probably best for Kimbolton, Woburn and Priory Park but there are some advantages in making a daytime trip to Tottenhoe Knolls. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest and express your preference.
